B2B Returns Policy (Faulty Goods)

1. Introduction
1.1. This Returns Policy applies to all business-to-business (B2B) customers ("You", "Your", "the Buyer") of SE-LFBoxes Limited ("We", "Us", "Our").
1.2. This policy outlines the procedures for returning goods that are faulty or damaged upon delivery, or that develop a fault under specific conditions outlined herein.
1.3. For the purposes of this policy, "Goods" refers to the products supplied by SE-LFBoxes Limited to You.
1.4. This policy is in addition to, and does not affect, any statutory rights You may have under applicable UK law governing B2B sales, primarily the Sale of Goods Act 1979.
1.5 This policy does not outline the returns procedure and policy for reusable containers (which remain the property of SE-LFBoxes Limited, even whilst in Your possession). This is outlined in our Terms of Service [INSERT LINK]

2. Acceptance of Goods and Reporting Faults/Damage
2.1. It is Your responsibility to inspect the Goods thoroughly upon delivery. Any damage to the Goods or packaging, or any discrepancies between the Goods delivered and the delivery note, must be noted on the carrier's delivery documentation at the time of delivery.
2.2. You must notify SE-LFBoxes Limited in writing (e.g., by email to info@se-lf.co.uk) of any alleged fault, damage, or defect in the Goods within 3 working days of delivery. This notification must include:
a. Your business name and order number.
b. A detailed description of the alleged fault, damage, or defect.
c. Photographic evidence of the fault, damage, or defect, where appropriate and possible.
2.3. Failure to notify Us within this timeframe may, at Our discretion, impact Your ability to return the Goods, unless the defect was not apparent on reasonable inspection at the time of delivery (a latent defect).
2.4. For latent defects that were not apparent upon initial inspection, You must notify Us in writing as soon as reasonably practicable after the defect becomes apparent, and in any event, no later than 14 days from the date of delivery, unless a longer period is expressly agreed in Your sales contract or mandated by law.

3. Conditions for Return of Faulty Goods
3.1. SE-LFBoxes Limited will only accept the return of Goods if:
a. The Goods are confirmed by Us to be faulty or damaged due to a manufacturing defect or damage occurring prior to delivery to You (and properly documented as per clause 2.1).
b. The defect has not arisen due to:
i. Fair wear and tear.
ii. Misuse, neglect, accidental damage, or improper storage or handling by You or any third party.
iii. Any alteration, modification, or repair of the Goods not authorised by SE-LFBoxes Limited.
iv. Failure to follow any instructions or guidelines provided by SE-LFBoxes Limited regarding the use or maintenance of the Goods.
3.2. We reserve the right to refuse a return if the Goods are found not to be faulty or if the fault is due to reasons excluded under clause 3.1.b.

4. Returns Process
4.1. Prior to returning any Goods, You must contact SE-LFBoxes Limited to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number. We reserve the right to refuse any returns received without a valid RMA number.
4.2. Once an RMA number is issued, We will provide instructions for the return of the Goods. This may include arranging for collection by Our designated carrier or requesting You to return the Goods to a specified address.
4.3. If You are requested to arrange the return, You are responsible for the Goods until they are received by Us. We recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service. Reasonable return carriage costs for genuinely faulty Goods, as agreed in advance with Us, will be reimbursed.
4.4. Goods must be returned in their original packaging where possible, or otherwise securely packaged to prevent further damage during transit. Please include all original components, accessories, and documentation.
4.5. The RMA number must be clearly marked on the outside of the return packaging.

5. Inspection and Remedies
5.1. Upon receipt of the returned Goods, SE-LFBoxes Limited will inspect them to verify the alleged fault or damage.
5.2. Our decision on whether the Goods are faulty shall be final, acting reasonably and in accordance with applicable law.
5.3. If the Goods are confirmed by Us to be faulty, SE-LFBoxes Limited will, at its sole discretion and in accordance with its obligations under the Sale of Goods Act 1979:
a. Repair the faulty Goods; or
b. Replace the faulty Goods with the same or equivalent Goods; or
c. Provide a credit note for the value of the faulty Goods; or
d. Provide a refund for the value of the faulty Goods.
5.4. The choice of remedy will depend on the nature of the fault, the age of the Goods, and other relevant circumstances. We will aim to process verified faulty Goods returns within 14 working days of receipt of the returned items.
5.5. If, after inspection, We determine that the Goods are not faulty, or that the fault falls under the exclusions in clause 3.1.b, We will notify You. In such cases, We reserve the right to return the Goods to You at Your cost, and We may also charge an inspection fee.

6. Limitation of Liability
6.1. SE-LFBoxes Limited's liability in respect of faulty Goods shall be limited to the remedies outlined in clause 5.3 and shall not extend to any indirect, consequential, or economic loss, loss of profit, or loss of business, subject to any limitations or exclusions permitted under the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 and other applicable laws.
6.2. Nothing in this policy shall limit or exclude SE-LFBoxes Limited's liability for death or personal injury caused by Our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any matter for which it would be illegal for Us to exclude or attempt to exclude Our liability.   

7. Non-Faulty Returns
7.1. This policy specifically addresses the return of faulty or damaged Goods.
7.2. SE-LFBoxes Limited is generally under no obligation to accept returns of Goods that are not faulty (e.g., if You have over-ordered or no longer require the Goods).
7.3. Any acceptance of non-faulty returns will be at the sole discretion of SE-LFBoxes Limited and must be agreed in writing in advance. Such returns may be subject to a restocking fee and return carriage costs payable by You.

8. Amendments
8.1. SE-LFBoxes Limited reserves the right to amend this Returns Policy from time to time. The policy in effect at the time You place Your order will apply.
